November 15th is the deadline to submit general entries for the 2023 Academy Awards.
Washington: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC have announced that the 95th Oscars will take place on March 12, 2023. Variety reports that the Academy Awards will take place in March for the second consecutive year. The previous year’s presentation took place on March 27. The live broadcast of the 95th Oscars from Hollywood’s Dolby Theater in more than 200 countries will be carried on ABC.
The December 31 deadline will mark the end of the eligibility period. Nominees will be considered for voting between January 12th and January 17th, 2023. Variety reports that the nominees will be announced January 24, 2023 and that the final vote will take places between March 2 to March 7, 2023.
Hollywood is still reeling from the 2022 Academy Awards. This was a controversial event due to Will Smith’s memorably hitting Chris Rock on the stage, and then winning best actor for King Richard.

Nominations voting closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday 24 January – Oscar Nominations Announcement. Monday, February 13, – Oscar Nominees luncheon. Thursday, March 2 – Finals voting begins 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 7 – Final voting ends 5 p.m. Sunday, March 12 – 95th Annual Academy Awards.
Recently, Will Smith resigned from Academy. The Academy has also banned Smith from attending Academy events for a period of 10 years.
